As a leading oncology-focused CRO, we align our practices with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and have implemented a corporate sustainability policy with goals that focus on environmental, social, and economic impact.

Greenhouse Gas 

Implementing plans to achieve a target of reducing emission of green house gases by 35% by the year 2026. 

Inclusive Employment

57% of our management team are women, & Women/minorities comprise 51% of our overall workforce.

Reuse & Recycle 

Implemented the use of reusable plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, and utensils in all kitchens across the facility.

The Future of Sustainability at Champions

Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Goal: Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 35% by 2026.

Target: Implement energy-efficient technologies that reduce file sharing, printing and overall computing time.  Explore additional renewable energy sources. Significantly reduce airline travel year over year beginning in 2024.

Waste Management and Water Conservation

Goal: Reduce waste to landfill by 30% and reduce water consumption by 15% by 2028.

Target: Continue use of reusable supplies in high traffic areas such as kitchens in the facility, order low carbon footprint materials from suppliers for common areas as well as laboratory spaces when possible. Implement water saving technologies and practices in all laboratory and common area spaces, reduce wastewater and continue commitment to wastewater treatment resources.  

Commitment to Employee Well-being

Goal: Improve employee well-being and satisfaction.

Target: Implement additional comprehensive health and wellness programs by 2025.

Invest in Community Engagement

Goal: Increase community engagement and support.

Target: Establish partnerships with local organizations and participate in community development projects by year end 2025.

Gender and Minority Equality

Goal: Maintain gender and minority equality reflected in overall employment and in leadership positions.

Target: Continue in mentorship and leadership development programs for women and minorities. 

Support Sustainable Innovation

Goal: Increase investment in sustainable innovation by 30% by 2025.

Target: Develop and launch at least three new sustainable business lines or technologies by 2028.

Responsible Supply Chain

Goal: Ensure 100% of suppliers agree to our sustainability guidelines.

Target: Conduct sustainability assessments and audits for all suppliers and confirm that their sustainability policy meets or exceeds the standards of Champions’ sustainability policy by year end 2025.
