POSITION TITLE: Project Manager, Medical Affairs

LOCATION: Hackensack, NJ

REPORTS TO: Chief Medical Officer

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: The primary focus of this position will be to support the Clinical Research Program and the Medical Affairs function. Responsible for establishing and managing timelines and project schedules, keeping the external and internal teams updated on project status, identifying challenges and recommending solutions. Overall, ensure each project is delivered successfully: on time, and at the highest quality level.


  • Monitor project status, progress and deliverables through continuous communication
  • Establish realistic deadlines, analyze and prioritize project activities and tasks
  • Provide routine progress reports on all aspects of the project to all stakeholders including, management and project team
  • Interact with key stakeholders to develop project scope, requirements and timelines
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for all aspects of projects
  • Participate in internal project review meetings and act as project information source
  • Monitor project deliverables to ensure that requirements are met and quality is maintained
  • Remain aware of any potential areas of concern, mitigate risk and achieve consensus among collaborators
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path

  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project
  • Critical thinking and problem solving abilities

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.


  • Certification in Project Management
  • University degree (Bachelors degree), with preference for a degree in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Medical Sciences
  • 3 to 5 years direct work experience in a project management capacity
  • Prior experience in oncology research or pharmaceutical industry is required
  • Prior experience with clinical trial management
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential


  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time using a computer in a typical office environment in a multi-level facility
  • This is an office-based position and located in Hackensack, NJ
