Inside Sales Manager, TOS

POSITION TITLE: Inside Sales Manager, Translational Oncology Solutions (TOS)

LOCATION: Hackensack, NJ

REPORTS TO: EVP & General Manager, TOS Business Unit

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:  Has responsibility for targeting, prospecting and prioritizing emerging market pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Use cold calling techniques, web knowledge and market research to target emerging market pharmaceutical biotech companies with the goal of passing on a warm hands-off to business development. Work with business development to help prioritize the emerging market pharmaceutical and biotech companies in each territory. In summary, help grow the emerging market pharmaceutical and biotech TOS business.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prioritize and target the emerging market pharmaceutical and biotech companies for growth and opportunity
  • Execute an inside sales function to understand, develop and coordinate the sales strategy for emerging market pharmaceutical and biotech companies
  • Work with the business development directors in each territory and marketing to target emerging market pharmaceutical and biotech companies
  • Develop appointment, interest and warm relationships and pass them on to business development
  • Update Salesforce.com customer database on contacts, opportunities and interest in emerging market accounts
  • Work in a professional teamwork mindset with marketing, business development and other Champions colleagues

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge and understanding of a professional business environment
  • Knowledge of customer service and marketing
  • Experience in Salesforce is preferred
  • A strong commercial and positive mindset
  • Excellent communications and inter-personal skills
  • High integrity, trustworthy self-starter and highly motivated
  • Goal oriented, organized and detailed oriented – knows how to get things done
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and productively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing
  • 1-3 years of industry experience in customer service or marketing
  • Minimum of 2 years’ business experience in a team setting

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 30 pounds
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time using a computer
  • Typical office environment in a multi-level facility
